Display
designs conform to the requirements of MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-704,
MIL-S-901, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-3009, and RTCA DO-160. Specific
compliance is dependent on specific project or product requirements.
Most projects of product development efforts begin with the selection of
the COTS TFT-LCD that best meets the requirements. The TFT-LCD module is
then modified by ADT for sunlight readability, NVIS compliance, and
environmental requirements. This work is accomplished in house supported
by our laminar flow benches, NVIS spectroradiometer, NVIS inspection
scope, Agree testing chamber and shaker. Application of an optical
bonded cover glass featuring broadband, anti-reflection thin-film
coatings, EMI ITO coatings and heater layer is accomplished by approved
service providers. However, the optical design and testing of the cover
glass is performed by ADT.

Man-machine interface bezels and keyboards featuring NVIS back illuminated snap action pushbuttons, rocker switches, indicators, and Infrared Touch Systems are designed and manufactured by ADT. All machined plastic and machine metal fabrication is accomplished in house on ADT-Ritec CNC equipment.

The ADT infrared touch system is a one meter immersion, high resolution, fault tolerant design usable in full sunlight.
Display system processing integration will us COTS PC-104, 3U VPX, or Com Express Modules as required if the application or product requires it. ADT previously designed graphics and CPU processing modules, video processing modules, power supplies and input power filtering modules and signal I/O modules.
